3.Case share
Challenges
In the tropical climate, the output of photovoltaic power fluctuates frequently, and the grid voltage fluctuates severely. The local power company requires that the power factor of the power station be ≥ 0.98 throughout the year.
Solutions
Install multiple sets of centralized SVGs, and design the product structure and components specifically to adapt to high temperature and high humidity environments. Use multi-machine parallel control technology to ensure the coordination and cooperation between devices.
Achievements
The voltage fluctuation at the grid connection point has been reduced from ±15% to within ±2%, improving the power factor of the photovoltaic power station and stabilizing it above 0.99.
Central Asia
Challenge
The wind power generation is unstable, with significant voltage fluctuations. There are also problems of unbalanced reactive power caused by wind speed fluctuations, as well as the start-stop of wind turbines.
Solution
Install a 35kV 40Mvar stand-alone SVG with filtering function to address the problem of excessive harmonics in the site.
Effectiveness
Improve the power factor of the wind power plant to meet the requirements of grid operation; filter out the harmonic currents generated during the power generation process of the wind power plant to avoid the interference of harmonics on the sensitive electrical equipment in the surrounding area.
