1.project context

Kubuqi Desert is the seventh largest desert in China, and has long been a key area of ecological control. Desertification not only threatens the local ecological environment, but also brings great challenges to the economic development of the surrounding area. The Kubuqi photovoltaic desertification control Project makes full use of the local abundant solar energy resources, integrates energy development, ecological restoration, desert management, and help to benefit the people, and is the largest photovoltaic desertification control project in the country, contributing Chinese experience and Chinese wisdom to global desertification control.

Kubuqi photovoltaic sand control project makes full use of land resources to achieve "photovoltaic +" multiple benefits of "power generation on the board, planting under the board, breeding between the board, sand control and soil improvement, and rural revitalization".

2.FGI scheme

At present, the Kubuqi photovoltaic sand control project has a number of power stations connected to the grid, and FGI has provided 8 high-power SVG equipment to help the photovoltaic power generation project successfully connected to the grid. According to the different needs of the project site, indoor and outdoor models are configured for users, and each device is connected to the integrated automation system on the site to realize remote monitoring and real-time upload of operation data, which is convenient for operation and maintenance.

3.Program advantage

FGI actively responds to the policy and industry needs, considering the operation of the equipment, and has carried out several updates and iterations for the dynamic reactive power compensation device, forming the following advantages:

(1)Excellent high and low voltage crossing performance

The high and low voltage crossing range and duration and other indicators are higher than the national standard, which can maintain the equipment in the case of power grid voltage sudden drop or sudden rise, and does not expand the accident.

(2)Time sharing control automatic switching function

It can set different operating modes according to different times and switch automatically to better adapt to different site needs.

(3)Wide variety of models

With indoor, outdoor, air-cooled, water-cooled models, the voltage range covers 6kV, 10kV, 20kV, 35kV various grades, to meet various project requirements.

(4)Multi-machine cooperative control mode

It can realize unified and coordinated control when multiple devices are running in common bus.

FGI focuses on the research and development and manufacturing of power electronic products, providing five major products of "less electricity, good use of electricity, explosion-proof electricity, renewable electricity, and storage electricity",  contributing FGI to the construction of a new power system.
