Application of FGI FD5000 Medium Voltage Drive on coke oven tail gas dedusting fan
1.Overview
Coke oven is the main production equipment of coking plant and one of the biggest sources of pollution in the production process of coking plant. The coke plant emits a large amount of harmful gases with high temperature and concentration as well as easily spreadable smoke and dust during the production process and coke pushing process, which are extremely harmful to human body. Especially, the benzene soluble substance in the atmosphere of the coke oven roof seriously exceeds the standard, and the concentration of dust in the working area of the coke oven also exceeds the standard, which seriously jeopardizes the health of the workers.
2.Implementation plans
FD5000 Medium Voltage Drive consists of primary circuit inlet cabinet (bypass cabinet), transformer cabinet, frequency conversion unit cabinet and operation control cabinet. The bypass cabinet puts the motor into the industrial frequency grid operation during the maintenance of the frequency converter or when the frequency converter fails to ensure that the production is not affected. When the frequency conversion is running, the frequency converter provides comprehensive protection for the motor. The primary circuit of the high-voltage inverter bypass cabinet is shown in Figure 4-2.
3.Application advantage
(1) Stable operation, safe and reliable. The original use of hydraulic coupling about 60 days must be replaced bearings, each time the furnace needs to stop for about half a day, bringing huge economic losses.FD5000 Medium Voltage Drive has the characteristics of maintenance-free, only need to dust regularly, no need to stop, to ensure the continuity of production.
(2) The motor realizes real soft start and soft stop. It avoids the electrical and mechanical impact on the equipment during startup and makes the fan start smoothly.
(3) Improved operating conditions and reduced labor intensity of workers. With the needs of coke oven production and dust removal, the fan speed is adjusted, and then the fan air volume is adjusted to meet the needs of the coke oven production process, the working environment on site is greatly improved, and the work intensity is greatly reduced.
(4) Extend the service life of motor and fan, and improve the utilization efficiency of fan. The original old coke oven dust removal fan in the process of operation, often resulting in damage to the fan and motor, maintenance workload, maintenance costs are high, the use of frequency conversion technology speed control, reducing mechanical wear and tear, to ensure the normal operation of the fan.
(5) Wide speed range, high speed accuracy.
Dust fan air volume often need to change according to the needs of the process, in the past the hydraulic coupling regulation, the actuator of the opening and flow of the non-linear problem, resulting in the regulation of errors, the use of variable frequency drag fan can be in the range of 0 ~ 50Hz arbitrary speed regulation, high speed regulation accuracy, can be maintained in the range of 0.1 ~ 0.01Hz work, to facilitate the realization of the dust removal system automation control.
(6) The FD5000 Medium Voltage Drive has a number of protection functions, very perfect.
Compared with the original old system, the frequency converter has a number of protection functions such as over-current, short circuit, over-voltage, under-voltage, phase loss, temperature rise protection, etc., which protects the motor more accurately.
(7) Energy saving effect is remarkable, greatly reducing power consumption.
