1. Project background
In a natural gas gathering station project of Sinopec, the same substation bus power supply line supplied power to two gathering stations, which were 10 kilometers and 30 kilometers away from the substation, respectively. The large reactive power of the line caused the system voltage at the power end of the gathering station to be reduced, which led to unstable operation of the equipment in the gathering station. Earlier, fast switching-type distribution network string compensation device was used for voltage compensation, with average response speed and compensation effect, and the voltage fluctuation problem was not solved.
2.FGI Solutions
Static Var Generator are used to modify the original reactive power compensation equipment. After calculations, FGI configured one Static Var Generator(SVG) device with a voltage level of 10kV and a capacity of 2Mvar for each of the two gas gathering stations.
Combined with the actual situation of the project, there are problems such as compact space, inconvenient construction, tight schedule, wind and sand, etc., FGI configured the prefabricated cabin design solution for the site to reduce the amount of on-site construction, and at the same time to shorten the project cycle as much as possible, and the prefabricated cabin uses air-conditioning inside the cabin to dissipate heat, to reduce the contact between the equipment and the outside air, to avoid the influence of the external environment on the operation of the equipment, and to ensure the stable operation of the equipment.
After Static Var Generator(SVG) is connected to the power grid, it operates in the mode of constant test point voltage to ensure that the system voltage of the gas gathering station is stabilized at the target value and the load runs stably, which proves that the effect of voltage stabilization of the distribution line in this gas gathering station project is better than that of the fast switching type distribution network string supplement device.
