From the land of Qilu to the vast Inner Mongolia, from the eastern sea areas to the Longyuan Silk Road, Shandong Energy Group has been deeply implementing the new energy security strategy of "Four Revolutions and One Cooperation", national strategies such as "Western Development", "Electricity from Outside Shandong" and "Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone", adhering to the integrated development of wind, solar, thermal, nuclear and hydrogen, as well as source-grid-load-story-data, and accelerating the growth and expansion of the new energy sector. We will spare no effort to build a green and low-carbon power supply chain and a clean and high-quality new energy supply chain.
Recently, the first phase of the FGI Bohai Sea Offshore Wind Power G Site project was successfully connected to the grid, laying a solid barrier for our province to increase the proportion of clean energy supply, enhance energy self-sufficiency, and ensure regional energy security and stability. The first phase of the Bohai Sea Offshore Wind Power G Site is located in the eastern sea area of Dongying City, with a total installed capacity of 400,000 kilowatts. It will complete the construction of two offshore substations with a total capacity of 900,000 kilowatts and one onshore centralized control center at one time.
The G site of the Bohai Sea Offshore Wind Power is another key project of FGI to implement China's strategic deployment of building a new type of power system with new energy as the main body and promote its implementation and construction. After the project is put into operation, it can generate over 1.3 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity annually, which can meet the electricity demand of more than 800,000 households.
Nowadays, in the field of offshore wind power, FGI has completed 1.3 million kilowatt wind power projects at the Bohai Sea Offshore Wind Power Sites A, B and G. In terms of onshore wind power, the 400,000-kilowatt wind power project in Alxa and the 100,000-kilowatt wind power project in Hangjin Banner have been completed. In terms of thermal power, the 2× 600,000-kilowatt power generation project of Luxi Power Plant has been completed, and the 2× 600,000-kilowatt coal-fired power generation project of Xintai Power Plant and the 2× 660,000-kilowatt cogeneration project of Xiangguang Power Plant are being accelerated.
Outside the province, the No. 1 unit of the 2×1 million kilowatt ultra-supercritical coal-fired unit of FGI Lingtai Power Plant, an important power source point on the "Gansu Electricity to Shandong" channel, was successfully connected to the grid for power generation in early June, with an annual power generation capacity of up to 10 billion kilowatt-hours. The first power source point of the "Inner Mongolia Electricity Entering Shandong" Zhaoyi DC project, the FGI Shenglu Power Plant's 2× 1,000,000-kilowatt ultra-supercritical air-cooled unit coal-fired power generation project, has been safely operating for over 1,700 days, fully ensuring the power security of Shandong.
As an important power source for the "Inner Mongolia Electricity Entering Shandong" project, Shenglu Power Plant has been in commercial operation since 2020. In the face of the new situation and requirements of industry development, we have scientifically and efficiently completed renovation projects such as "Primary Frequency Regulation Optimization", "raw coal warehouse Sub-warehouse transformation", and "deep peak shaving test". We have proactively outperformed policy changes, built new development advantages, and significantly enhanced the competitiveness of the channel. Up to now, a total of 48.8 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity have been transmitted to Shandong. In 2024, the revenue from auxiliary peak shaving services reached 177 million yuan, firmly ranking first in the northwest region.
In terms of energy storage, the 150-megawatt / 600-megawatt-hour energy storage project under construction in Yongxin, Jingyuan, serves as a supporting energy storage within the independent control area of the power source for the "Electricity from Gansu to Shandong" major channel. It is designed to have an average annual charging capacity of approximately 1.37 billion kilowatt-hours and a discharging capacity of about 1.16 billion kilowatt-hours. The first phase of the Shandong Energy Dongying 2×200MWh independent shared energy storage Project was successfully connected to the grid in one go, marking the official operation of China's first set of the largest single-unit capacity 100-megawatt-level high-voltage cascaded advanced energy storage system. This project has multiple functions such as peak shaving and valley filling for the power grid, frequency regulation, and efficient consumption of new energy.
This phase, we have completed and put into operation the first phase of the project, which is connected to the grid with a capacity of 100 megawatts /200 megawatt-hours. It is divided into four organizational units, each with a unit capacity of 25 megawatts /53.6 megawatt-hours. It can increase the consumption of green electricity by 70 million kilowatt-hours annually.
In the next step, FGI will vigorously promote the integrated development of wind, solar, thermal, nuclear, hydrogen, and source-grid-load-story-data, forming a development pattern led by strategic emerging industries, expanded green development by wind and solar power, supported by thermal power, driven by digitalization, and advanced through integration. It will strive to become a leading and first-class power energy supplier in China, aiming to be a profit source and growth pole for green, low-carbon, and high-quality development, and take the lead and set an example in FGI's green, low-carbon, and high-quality development.
