A compressor is a device that uses a motor to compress the gas in a compression chamber and makes the compressed gas have a certain pressure. According to the process characteristics of the air compressor, FGI independently developed the special inverter for the air compressor, supporting the comprehensive system of the air compressor special system, its rich functions, flexible and simple application, stable performance, convenient debugging and other advantages have been widely recognized by customers.
2.Project overview
Hebei a new material company mainly produces propylene, propane and other chemicals, the use of the compressor, originally for the power frequency start, each start of the compressor is a heavy load start, start up is not easy, but also bring great risks to the process, such as loud noise, large starting current, affecting the equipment life, pressure mutations, etc. In addition, due to the large volatility of the load, the motor rarely operates under full load, and only relies on closing the outlet valve and backflow to adjust the flow rate, which is a serious waste and high energy consumption. In order to solve this series of problems, after a comprehensive analysis and program demonstration, FGI decided to use the compressor special medium voltage drive to convert the motor.
3.Application scheme
FGI provides a set of high-power and FD5000S medium voltage drive with model JD-BP38-7200FF1M, which adopts power unit cascade technology, including power cabinet, control cabinet, switching cabinet, etc. The system uses a high voltage variable frequency motor to drive two compressors, and uses the inverter to realize soft start and power frequency switching, so as to control the output of the compressor and meet the needs of different working conditions.
4.Application performance
After the operation of FGI FD5000S medium voltage drive, after repeated testing, the operation parameters have been normal, safe and reliable, and all the indicators have reached the design requirements.

Precise control. The inverter has precise pressure control function, which can adjust the pressure output of the compressor in real time according to the gas demand of the customer's production process to ensure the matching degree.
